John and Ann Zedaker have been sole owners of Zedaker's Anjon Acres since 1977. Anjon is a combination of their two names.
John began riding at age 2 and began instructing in 1948 at age 11, the year his father Jack began Zedaker's riding program at its current location. Ann began riding as one of John's students. One thing led to another and they got married in 1969.
John took up
polo at age 17 and played for the Mahoning Valley Polo Club for some 37 years,
training his own horses, and serving as club president and team captain.
John passed away in 2010, but he is loved and remembered by his family every day.
Ann
has extensive experience showing and training hunters and jumpers and more
recently has logged thousands of miles competing in competitive trail and
endurance rides. She coordinates the lesson program and barn activities, and also has a real knack for
diagnosing and treating horse ailments including lameness.
